(To Sapan Verma) I want you to tell everyone what the show is all about?

One Mic Stand is an unscripted show where we get celebrities to try stand up for the first time and to mentor them and guide them we have got India’s best comedians as you can see.

(To Angad Singh Ranyal) What was your experience like? How was it? Who did you mentor?

Taapsee Pannu. We were both in college together, so it was like less of mentorship and more like ‘are you even funny?’

(To Zakir Khan) Who did you mentor? What was your experience like?

I mentored Bhuvan. It was amazing. You know it’s easier to work with intelligent people who understand how to do things. It’s not necessary that if he makes vines then his IQ level will be low. He’s a very sharp kid and he understands what is going to work and what is not going to work. It was very easy to work with him.

(To Sapan Verma) Who did you mentor?

I’m the host of the show. Dude, I’m telling you that this is a very good cheat format I’ve created. You want to make the show funny, I got comedians, you want to make it popular, I’ve got celebrities. If you didn’t find the show funny then blame the comedians. If you didn’t find the show popular then blame the celebrities. I’ve made sure they both meet and my work here is done. If it works out well, then I will take the credit.
