Woman Jumps Off Train With Baby, Husband to Escape Rape Bid

A couple along with their baby suffered serious injuries when they jumped off a train near Dima station in West Bengal after the wife was allegedly molested and an attempt to rape her by a group of men, railway police said, on Wednesday.
Ashabul (32) and his wife (25) carrying their 10-month-old daughter were travelling in the general compartment of Mahananda Express where about 10 to 12 drunkards tried to rape the woman.
Rjabhatkhawa forest officials spotted the family from a jungle and they were later admitted to the Alipurduar Railway Hospital.
Railway police is investigating the incident.
