East India Company founder Sorabh Pant has come out with a new video in response to Islamic hardliners comments about Mohammed Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan.

Shami and Jahan had recently been in the centre of a controversy regarding a sleeveless gown that Jahan had worn to a public event. Several fundamentalists criticised the couple for being “unislamic”.

Pant’s video addresses this criticism against the couple.

He also adds that adopting a practice which is not part of one’s religion or culture is not antithetical to your own beliefs or practices.
