Bollywood is taking Hollywood by storm: but instead of the film industry, this time it's LA's dance and fitness studios.

Bollywood dance has been turned into a fitness regime and its popularity is growing fast.

In this studio, students are learning Bollywood dance from one of its leading teachers, Achinta S. McDaniel the artistic director of the Blue13 Dance Company.

While the Indian Bhangra beats rule the day, the tutors also mix classical, folk, Arabic, Latin and funk styles of dance.

And let's not forget the all important facial expressions, just as crucial here as they are in ballet.

The group sessions encourage everyone to become less self conscious.

Tracey Murphy a veterinarian technician, says it's improved her confidence.
