In May 1995 a chat show called Nikki Tonight suddenly became the talk of the town -for all the wrong reasons. It was alleged that Mahatma Gandhi was wrongly portrayed in the show. TV18 had produced the show and its founders Raghav Bahl and Sanjay Ray Chaudhuri (RayC ) were in the dock. They were sure that they would be arrested.

Almost 21 years later, in the new book Network 18 – The Audacious Story of a Start-up That became a Media Empire , RayC confesses that he was quite scared when the matter blew up.

‘Network 18 – The Audacious Story of a Start-up That became a Media Empire’ has been published by Portfolio Penguin. It’s launching in September 2016. Advance copies are available in bookstores and online.
