“There is no stopping him,” says T Naratajan’s mother Shanta when asked about her son’s first IPL contract.

Having set himself a base price of Rs 10 lakh, the left-armer was snapped up for 30 times that when Kings XI Punjab beat the field to pick up the Salem native for Rs 3 crore in the 2017 IPL auction.

The highest-paid uncapped Indian player now the 25-year-old Natarajan is all set to feature in his debut IPL season, come April.
