In a series of fresh allegation, Indian bowler Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan claimed on Tuesday evening in a press conference in Kolkata that her husband has now started to threaten her over the phone.
According to Jahan, Shami had messaged her from an unknown number on Monday to speak to their daughter. Later on Tuesday, Shami called her and threatened her.
Jahan also accused her in-laws and Shami’s friends of attacking and abusing her on social media.
“Shami and his family members are targeting me on Facebook. They are using fake accounts to troll me. Shami is the masterminding all of this,” claimed Jahan.
Jahan even made a request to the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to support her in her fight.
“I don’t want the CM to come out and speak in my support nor do I want her to speak against anybody. I would only request her to help me in getting justice,” said Jahan.
She has also approached the Kolkata Police seeking security cover.
Earlier on Tuesday, Jahan was accused of attacking a media personnel. Jahan lost her cool when a set of journalists and camera personnel followed her near a school in Kolkata.
Later in the day, Jahan issued an apology and requested the media to stop hounding her and let her fight her battle peacefully.
Last week Jahan had accused her husband of domestic violence and adultery. An FIR has already been registered against Shami and his family members in Kolkata.
