School Bus With 50 Children Falls Into a River in Rajasthan

Here’s one of the many mishaps that have taken place this monsoon due to flooded rivers, but with a happy ending.

A bus from a private school from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district fell into the swollen river Palka, with 50 children on board.

The driver crossed the bridge despite warnings. Villagers rescued the children on board and miraculously no casualties have been reported.

This monsoon there have been numerous reports of old bridges giving way under heavy rains or flood waters. There have also been several cases reported of vehicles being swept away by the speeding current over bridges.
