There’s really no stopping Sara Ali Khan from being unapologetic about herself. But when you live in India, it’s a little difficult to avoid the unnecessary questions and comments. Sara Ali Khan spoke to The Quint about how she gets back at people who don’t mind their own business. Sara also gave us a warning: to not listen to Varun Dhawan. Watch the video to find out why!

What are the problems you face when you are unapologetically yourself in public, just not in the industry? Has someone come and told you, “Listen what are you doing? Calm down.”
Yeah, yeah, 100%. I think especially if you are a honest person, and more than just being honest, if you have like a slightly relatable quality, you leave yourself open to people actually questioning that why have you done this. And as a person, I am not defensive and I am relatively open. So not only am I advocating and always being who I am, but I am also leaving myself open to having to explain to other people why I am doing that. The real answer is I don’t have to explain.
So when somebody tells you, “Sara, don’t sit like this. Sit properly.” What is your reaction?
It depends. If the person seems like they will understand then I’ll be like, “Let it be, no? I am fine the way I am.” But if they give like really aggressive vibes then I suddenly sit like the way they ask me to then quickly turn around and do it my way, after they have left which is usually around 30 seconds.
