Rape Survivor Hacks Her Sexual Tormentor to Death
The rape survivor alleges that she had been violated by the accused in the past as well.
Having survived frequent episodes of sexual abuse, a woman in Jharkhand’s Gumla district hacked her sexual tormentor to death.
The incident took place after accused, Chartu Khariya, attempted to rape the woman for the fourth time in a row. Khariya, a local militia leader, had allegedly raped the woman in the past at gunpoint. He had also threatened the rape survivor and her husband with dire consequences, following which the couple decided to go soft on the matter.
When asked about the killing of Khariya, the rape survivor retorted, saying: “If anyone violates or rapes me repeatedly, why should I spare him?”
