BSF seized 21 kg heroin worth Rs 21 crore in the international market, which was smuggled in by alleged Pakistani nationals along the Indo-Pak border near Attari, Punjab.

However, the smugglers, who were transferring packets of the drug across the border fence into Indian territory, managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

When BSF troops challenged the smugglers, they were met with gun shots. The border troops then returned the fire, but the smugglers escaped. The ammunition that they left behind had ‘Made in Pakistan’ written on it.
