Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed the meeting of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Home Ministers on Thursday where he stressed on the country’s commitment to eradicate terrorism.

The SAARC is an organisation of south Asian countries which includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

He said that terrorism is one of the common concerns, against which considerable gains have been made through operation Zarb-e-Azb.

On the other hand, Lashkar-e-Taiba co-founder Hafiz Saeed said that Pakistan will not co-operate with India and was angry with the ‘welcome’ the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh was accorded by the SAARC host Pakistani government.

Reports said Singh arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday to attend the SAARC Interior Ministers’ conference and was flown to a five star hotel in a helicopter amid security concerns.

Protests led by Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) activists, a front organisation of terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) have been a matter of concern to the Pakistani government.
