Bihar Chief Minister made a jibe at the BJP’s ongoing Tiranga Yatra and the saffron party’s sudden surge of love for the tricolour.

Nitish named no one but was hinting at the RSS’s demand several years ago for a saffron flag for India. Nitish said he finds it ironic that the party which considered the national flag as a flashpoint in its current form, should now use it as a symbol to raise its banner of nationalism.

The BJP has been holding Tiranga rallies since 9 August, to commemorate the 70th year of Independence.
