NIA Officer Tanzil Ahmed’s Children Recount the Horror

A day after their father was brutally shot dead in front of their eyes, the children recount the horror.

Tanzil Ahmad, an officer of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), died after unknown assailants pumped twenty-one bullets into him while he was returning from a wedding with his family in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district after midnight on Saturday. The police have called the killing a “planned attack”.

Ahmad was pronounced dead on being taken to a medical facility in Moradabad. His body was later brought to Delhi. His wife is struggling for her life at the Fortis hospital in Noida, UP.
