Workers returned to factories in eastern Aleppo’s Al-Arqoub district onTuesday, following statements made in the same week by Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis that restoration of the city's production abilities was a top priority.

Machines that remained functional in a damaged textile factory in what was previously opposition-held Al-Arqoub district could be seen running. Tractors and forklifts had begun to clear the streets of sandbags and rubble in a bid to bring the area back into working order.
