Samajwadi Party leader Firoz Khan was seen crying in front of a Gandhi statue in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh on Gandhi Jayanti – a video of which went viral and left Twitter in splits.

Him and his supporters were heard asking ‘Why did you leave us?’ and ‘What will happen to the country now?’. Later when talking to ANI, Khan defended his action, especially if the act was genuine by saying that it was in no way a publicity stunt and he was crying because of the state of cleanliness and development of his area and the country under the BJP rule.
