A girl from Bengaluru elaborates on Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra Unit Chief Abu Azmi’s message on how to not get molested.
His tips include not stepping out of the house after dark without a male companion and, of course, not wearing skimpy clothes.
While women are compared to petrol and sugar, it is clear that we are not ‘people’ but objects that real people (men) are attracted to. And we are identified only in relation to a man. It is also evident that rape and molestation is not about power but it’s all about sex and we girls shouldn’t tempt men.
So listen to Azmi, keep yourself covered, don’t go out without a male chaperone or even better, just don’t exist.
