Salman at Jodhpur Central Jail After Blackbuck Case Conviction

Bollywood actor Salman Khan was taken to Jodhpur Central jail in a police vehicle after being convicted in poaching case by a trial court on Thursday, 5 April, in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

He was sentenced to five years in prison. Additionally, a penalty of Rs 10,000 was also levied on him.

All of the other accused – Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam – have been acquitted by the court.

Salman has been held guilty of killing two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur in October 1998 during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

The 52-year-old actor was in the middle of shooting Race 3 which is being directed by Remo D'Souza. It is unclear if his has completed shooting for the films. Kick 2, Dabangg 3 and Bharat are the two other films that were in the pipeline.
