Maybe you didn’t make it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding guest list but that’s no reason to sulk over.

You can create your own make-believe royal setting like some people did in Rio.

Royal enthusiasts in Rio de Janeiro were treated to a special event where they could feel like they were part of the royal wedding, in an event organised by wedding planners, at the Rio Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, 19 May — the same day as the royal wedding.

One hundred people were invited to watch the royal wedding in a setting that looked every bit royal as the actual wedding.

A simulation of a church was projected against a large wall, to add to the theme, as people watched the royal ceremony on a big screen.

Guests were also treated to a collection of traditional hats, princess dresses made by famous Brazilian stylists and classical music.

More than 30 wedding planners organized the event.
