As unrest continued to escalate over the Ramjas row, two Journalists from The Quint were among a group of media persons who were assaulted by Delhi Police personnel outside the Maurice Nagar Police Station, on Wednesday.

The Quint’s correspondent Anant Prakash and cameraperson Shiv Kumar Maurya were thrashed by the police after the duo attempted to report about excessive police action against JNU students.

The police brutality came hours after another Journalist from The Quint was thrashed by members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Her camera was flung, her hair pulled out. Taruni Kumar, a senior editor at The Quint later narrated her experience on a Facebook live.
