Family members of Kulwant Singh, an Army man who was killed in the January 2016 Pathankot attack, were beaten up by a group of people in Gurdaspur after a dispute went awry.

Kulwant’s brother, Hardeep Singh, and his wife, were assaulted in front of a police station, minutes after the couple had lodged a case against a travel agent. Hardeep said that he had paid the travel agent Rs 9 lakh to send him to France. He alleged that the agent sent him to Indonesia instead. When he demanded a refund, the agent and his friends allegedly manhandled Hardeep and his wife.

I asked the agent for a refund. He returned only Rs 3 lakh. He started abusing us. We went to police station to lodge a complaint. When we stepped out of police station. a group of people cornered us. They beat us up.
