Man Follows Woman Inside Mainpuri Police Station, Shoots Her Dead
45-year-old Anisa Begum was shot dead inside the Agra Gate Police Chowki in Mainpuri.
In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old woman was shot dead inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district on Monday night. The woman, Anisa Begum, was killed by a man from a rival family with whom the victim and her kin were locked in a property dispute.
Locals say a public spat had broken out between two families in the vicinity of the police station. The victim came running to the Agra Gate Police Chowki as she was being attacked viciously by the accused. However, Wasim, the accused followed her into the police station and shot her at point blank range. Witnesses say police personnel were not present in the police station and arrived too late on the crime scene. The mob nabbed and thrashed the gun-wielding accused who was later arrested.
The woman was rushed to the district hospital by the locals where she was declared brought dead. So far eleven people have been arrested in connection with Monday’s shooting.
