Saffron politics over Bapu’s statue?

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was painted saffron by unknown miscreants in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur. The incident was reported from Ghanshyampur under Banda police area.

This statue of Gandhiji has been here for the past 30-40 years. This was a white statue earlier,but the colour of the statue is changing with the government. There shouldn’t be any politics over the colour of Mahatma Gandhi’s statues.

Local resident

A case has been registered and investigation is underway.

“We are investigating the matter and necessary actions will be taken”, said Bachu Singh, Additional District Officer.
