Maha Polls: Will Hometown Nagpur Give Fadnavis a Second Chance?
The youth of Nagpur feel that Fadnavis goverment has done good work but must pay more attention to job creation.

The Quint's poll yatra has reached Nagpur, which is the hometown of two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwarts – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
In the 2014 Assembly elections, the BJP had won 44 out of 62 seats in Vidarbha, but how will it fare this time around? Are people in the region happy with the work that the Fadnavis government has done in the last five years? Has the ruling coalition fulfilled its promise of job creation?
The Quint spoke to the people of Nagpur to get their opinion on these issues.
A resident of the city, Raj Singh, said Nagpur has seen immense development in the last five years. However, when asked about the employment opportunities in Nagpur, he said the government must focus on job creation more. He added that the upcoming MIHAN (Multi-Model International Passenger and Cargo Hub Airport at Nagpur) project could help solve the existing job crisis.
‘Metro Work Incomplete Even After 5 Years’
To uplift Nagpur's public transport system, the government announced the Nagpur Metro plan, but the work is incomplete even after five years.
The people are upset about the fact that the Nagpur metro route is currently only 13km-long yet the government could not finish the project entirely. However, some expressed happiness when the metro services started in the city.
Maharashtra goes to polls on 21 October. On 24 October, we will know if the people of Nagpur give CM Fadnavis a second chance.
