A southern Brazil Jaguar is perched on raised land along the riverside with his eyes focused on something in the water.
When the Jaguar abruptly leaps into the river, there is no sign of him for a few seconds until he emerges from the murky water with an alligator between his jaws that struggles to escape.
The big cat however was too strong, and it dragged the prey into the bushes.
A tourist captured the astonishing moment on his camera while on a river safari in Southern Brazil.
