Refusing consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav was “Pakistan’s biggest fault,” senior lawyer Aishwarya Bhati told Neeraj Gupta, in an exclusive interview to The Quint. On 15 May 2017, the ICJ asked Pakistan to take “all measures at its disposal to ensure that Mr Jadhav is not executed pending the final decision in these proceedings." It also asked Islamabad to provide consular access to Jadhav – a protocol that New Delhi accuses Pakistan of breaching despite its (India’s) repeated requests.
