A day after two soldiers were killed and their bodies mutilated, Vice Chief of Indian Army Lt Gen Sarath Chand said the Indian Army will retaliate to the Pakistan army’s alleged “barbaric” acts at “a time and place of its choosing”.

We condemn this act. We won’t disclose how we will retaliate but we will do it at a time and place of our choosing. Pakistan will have to take responsibility of what they have done and face the consequences.

Param Vir Chakra awardee and Kargil war hero Yoginder Singh Yadav echoed Lt Gen Chand’s sentiments.

All Indian soldiers are brothers. A brother always avenges his brother’s death.

Meanwhile, students from Moradabad wrote a km-long letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding action against Pakistan.

Meanwhile, former Defence Minister AK Antony demanded that the government gives free reign to the Indian Army.

My message is clear. Give a free hand to the army to take appropriate action as a reaction to this cruel, cold and barbaric act by Pakistan.
AK Antony, Defence Minister
