In-Laws Burn Woman Alive For Not Getting Them a Bolero as Dowry
Mamta’s in-laws reportedly sold off an Alto car they received as dowry, and wanted a Bolero.

A woman was allegedly burnt alive by her in-laws over demands for an SUV in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district. Three years ago, Mamta married Satyapal Singh, and even bought an Alto car as part of dowry. However, her in-laws were not content with the hatchback, which they sold off shortly after Mamta’s wedding.
According to Mamta’s brother Karan Singh, she was repeatedly harassed by her husband’s family members over endless dowry demands.
Every time we gifted her in-laws some clothes and money, they would keep quiet. Once it all got over, they would again start beating up my sister.

Police have arrested Mamta’s father-in-law, while other accused are on the run.
