The biggest carnival of Bengal has set in to the City of Joy. Every corner of Kolkata will remain bathed in light till the conclusion of the festivities.

Durga Puja not only celebrates the home coming of the Goddess but also has a deeper message attached to it: It symbolises communal harmony and strengthens the social fabric.

The amazing love and peace that prevails in the state is very evident by the fact that both Hindus and Muslims, despite their religious differences, work together in organising the Puja.

Hate mongers, surely, have no place in the city where people, irrespective of their caste and creed, work tirelessly to make the festival a grand success.

The city sees a splendid culture of people from both communities obliterating all lines of discrimination. The brotherhood that they share is an epitome of national integration.

Despite the recent Muharram and Durga Puja controversy in Bengal, people from both the communities are enjoying the festive season with utmost fervour and enthusiasm.
