The 10-day Ganesh Chaturti festival may be coming to an end on 5 September, but the devotees are still celebrating the festival to honour and worship Lord Ganesha.

The festival is celebrated on a grand scale in Maharashtra, especially in the Lalbaug area where the city’s grandest Ganpati idol is erected. And it has been so since 1934.

Beautiful decoration, sweets, prayers, and music add the extra spirit to the festivities. The Ganpati fervour grips the state, from Bollywood celebrities to the common man.
