In yet another dramatic move in the SP pari-war, Samajwadi Party’s Uttar Pradesh state unit president, Shivpal Yadav, announced on Tuesday that he would form a new party after 11 March, the day the election result will be declared.

SP supremo Mulayam Singh is not very supportive of the SP-Congress alliance for the upcoming Assembly polls, and claimed that the SP can win the elections on its own strength. Supporting his brother’s stance, Shivpal warned his nephew and UP CM Akhilesh Yadav of the dangers of forming a new government in alliance with the Congress.
