The Allahabad High Court on Thursday acquitted Dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in the murder of their sole daughter, Aarushi in May 2008.

Aarushi was found dead in a mysterious condition in 2008, following which murder charges were levelled against the Talwars. Basing its judgement on circumstantial evidence, a Ghaziabad court had in April 2013, held Aarushi’s parents guilty of killing her.

The Talwars had appealed against the April 2013 verdict, which eventually cleared them of the charges, citing insufficient evidence.
