Exclusive: Nitish Went to BJP to Hide His Sins, Claims Tejashwi

Bihar’s former Deputy Chief Minister and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav spoke exclusively to The Quint, ahead of RJD’s ‘BJP Bhagao, Desh Bachao’ rally.

Speaking of the Srijan scam that has taken Bihar by storm, Tejashwi claimed that members of the JD(U) and BJP are closely involved.

How is it that only the BJP and JD(U) members are involved in the scam? They’re eliminating evidence and witnesses. Sushil Modi and Nitish Kumar are personally responsible for this.

When asked about Nitish Kumar’s party calling the RJD rally “Brashtachar Bachao (save corruption)”, Tejashwi said:

If we have done something wrong, can a rally save us? The whole nation’s agencies are persecuting us. All these probes and cases against us have started only because Nitish Kumar wanted a reason to leave the alliance. He went to the BJP only because he wanted to hide his sins.
