Rhino horns do not have life tissues, so they are never harmed during the procedure.

Knowing that rhino horns are highly prized, Dvur Kralove Zoo in Czech Republic is cutting horns of their own rhinos to deter poachers from attacking the zoo. They came into action after a poacher attack took place in a zoo in France.

However, the rhino is not physically harmed by the cutting of the horns. Rhino horns doesn’t have a life tissue and is made of compacted matter like human hair or nails.
