Couple Attacked in UP’s Mainpuri for Resisting Lewd Remarks
The ensuing mayhem left the woman bleeding profusely from the head.
A woman and her husband were brutally assaulted n Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district, on Monday, after they opposed the lewd comments made by a group of men.
The incident took place at a busy marketplace in Kishani village, after the victim approached one of the accused and asked him about address to a certain shop in the area. A verbal spat broke out between the two parties, after the accused reportedly asked her to come inside with him.
The accused hurled slangs and then attacked the couple with sticks in broad day light as onlookers watched. The ensuing mayhem left the woman bleeding profusely from the head. Police have now arrested several persons in connection with the incident.
