Two Railway Police Force (RPF) constables saved a 30-year-old commuter from the jaws of death at Parel railway station on Wednesday morning. Vinod Laxman Chandanshive, a Dombivli resident, slipped while boarding a running local and was dragged under the footboard. However, two traffic constables managed to drag him back on the platform just in time.

Chandrashive suffered minor injuries and was treated at RPF Dadar. The mishap was captured on CCTV camera.
