In an exclusive interview to The Quint’s Editorial Director Sanjay Pugalia, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu blamed the previous government for mishandling the Kashmir crisis.

Pinning the blame on Pakistan for the ongoing violence in Kashmir, Naidu emphasised that only four or five districts in south Kashmir continued to remain victims of terrorism sponsored by India’s neighbour on the west, while the rest of the state remains peaceful.

Naidu further said that the BJP-PDP coalition is working together to rectify the situation in Jammu and Kashmir as the need of the hour is “a stable local government”.
