A car would have fallen into a sinkhole, if not for some good samaritans. The incident occurred on 11 August in Yan’an city of northern China. A sinkhole had opened up due to massive rains. Flash floods swept the car, which was parked on the roadside, to the edge of a sinkhole.

Nearby residents saw the car teetering on the edge of the sinkhole and sprung into action. Passersby hitched two ropes to the car and together pulled it to a safe distance. Reports said that no one was injured in the incident.
