A traffic police constable was hit by a bus while clearing the traffic for Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar’s cavalcade near a light point in Chandigarh on Saturday, 23 November. He was hospitalised immediately after, reported Hindustan Times.

The constable, Kuldeep Singh, was regulating the traffic without any reflectors when the accident happened. People rushed to help him after he was hit by the bus.

As per the Hindustan Times report, a case was registered against the bus driver under Sections 337 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after sub-inspector Balinder Singh filed a complaint.

Kuldeep Singh has been admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32 and his condition is stable, reported The Tribune.

The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera, and the video has gone viral on Twitter. While some users raised concerns about the safety conditions of the traffic police, others wished the cop a speedy recovery.
