An ardent follower of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered a gold crown weighing 1.25 kg, to Lord Hanuman at Varanasi's Sankat Mochan temple on the occasion of PM Modi's 69th birthday.

The man, identified as Arvind Singh had vowed to offer a gold crown to Lord Hanuman if PM Narendra Modi, who contested from the Varanasi constituency, came back to power at the Centre for a second term.

He (PM Modi) is someone who is building the nation in a way that was not done in the past 70 years. It was decided that the gold crown would be offered to Lord Hanuman on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday with the belief that his and India’s future will shine like gold.
