A day after being lashed by the heaviest downpour in its history of twelve years, Mumbai is slowly limping back to normalcy.

Commuters who were stranded across differrent stations since Tuesday afternoon, are now making their way back home after local train services resumed in most sections.

According to the Mumbai Police, roads are now clear for use and traffic snarls are expected to get better.

Schools and colleges in Mumbai are shut today and the city’s iconic dabbawalas have called a day off.
