The Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested six men who opened fire at two toll plaza employees in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district on 9 July.

A CCTV footage of the incident shows three men thrashing a toll plaza employee after he stepped out of the enclosure. The men are said to be truck drivers who were hired by three locals to terrorise toll plaza employees.

According to police sources, a former and a present local village head had masterminded the incident to create an atmosphere of terror, and thereby evade toll in the future.
