“Where Is My Son?” Asks Najeeb’s Mother 1 Yr Since He Went Missing

On 8 August, the High Court even rebuked the CBI for not submitting any report on the missing JNU student.

One Year has passed but still Najeeb Ahmed’s kin wait for him. There is still no trace of JNU student, who went missing on 15 October 2016. The first year M.Sc student of biotechnology, went missing from JNU hostel, after an alleged altercation with ABVP members.

Hundreds of students staged a protest outside CBI Headquarter in Delhi, demanding the progress report of CBI’s investigation in Najeeb Ahmed’s case.

From Delhi Police, SIT, High Court to CBI nobody has been able to do anything to find Najeeb. The case is being shifted from one department to another but there hasn’t been any outcome. CBI has been handling the case for the past two months but they are still clueless. Of course, we will protest this. Is it a joke that a student goes missing from a reputed University like JNU.

Najeeb’s Mother says that she is still in the same position as she was on 15 October last year, when she lost her son. She even demands JNU vice Chancellor’s resignation.

Najeeb, a student, is assaulted and he goes missing from such a reputed University. Who is responsible for this? It’s been six months since they have been investigating the caseI am still in the same position that I was in 15 October 2016. Where is my child? Who will answer this? Isn’t the government responsible for this?
