Wolfgang Sadowski, an 80-year-old German weightlifter, was caught pumping iron at his Berlin gym, as he gears up for the 2017 European Masters Weightlifting Championship next month, where he hopes to beat the current weightlifting world record for over eighties.

Sadowski has been competing as a weightlifter since 1955. He has previously won gold at the international weightlifting competitions in Denmark, Copenhagen, and Ukraine, among other medals in various competitions.

The mature and muscled citizen reportedly trains three times a week at the Athletic Heroes Club in Berlin with the help of his training companions, who are all reportedly around the same age.

Apparently Sadowski used to to train six to seven times a week when he was younger, but now needs to rest in between training sessions.
