76- year-old former traffic warden Harjinder Singh, has been running an ‘auto ambulance’ free of cost for the last 40 years. He provides free services of picking those who get injured, and takes them to the hospital.

‘Whenever I see any road accident I immediately stop my vehicle and ask, “Is anyone hurt?” If there are any victims, I provide free services and take them to the hospital.’

Singh who started this service in 1978, works extra hours to save money that can help him run the free ambulance service. He says that his commitment to save people’s lives will keep him going till his last breath.
