Udta Punjab has finally released and the curiosity that surrounds its release is proof that the Censor Board had done commendable PR work!

Moving away from the hullabaloo, however, director Abhishek Chaubey must be praised for making a hard-hitting and engaging film on the subject of drug addiction. Further, the music in the movie has been used to stunning effect.

The performances lend it an irresistible charm - Shahid, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Daljit Dosanjh have all done a brilliant job. If the second half had been better edited and the pace was a little faster, Udta Punjab would have soared.

Catch the movie; we promise you won’t regret it.
