Speaking at the centenary year convocation of Banaras Hindu University, Monday, PM Modi said, “I have attended many such ceremonies in the past, but to come here on this special occasion is definitely special.”

“Mahamana ji (Madan Mohan Malviya) and Mahatma Gandhi ji both wanted to teach youth how to contribute to the country,” he said, adding that people who have studied at BHU have contributed to society in various ways, as doctors, teachers and civil servants.
