Maneka Gandhi Ties Rakhi to Jawans at Indo-Nepal Border

The jawans said that they feel honoured and will give everything they have to protect the country.

Women and child development Minister Maneka Gandhi visited Champawat in Uttarakhand on Sunday to tie rakhi to Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans at the Indo-Nepal border. The rakhis were tied to respect the jawans and honour them for their work at the border.

The popular Indian festival is celebrated in the month of August to express affection between brothers and sisters. The jawans expressed joy and said that they were honoured by Maneka Gandhi’s gesture.
