Watch Mallika Dua’s ‘Kyaut’ Audition For ‘The Office’ India
The comedian has been cast in season 2 of the show.
Comedian and self-appointed Chief Kyautness Officer Mallika Dua will debut as Kitty, the newest member of Wilkins Chawla in the second season of the desi adaptation of The Office. Watch ‘Makeup Didi’ in action in this behind-the-scenes peek at Dua’s ‘audition’ for the show. From the looks of it, Kitty is set to rival boss Jagdeep Chaddha at being a ‘Funjabi’.
Dua has said that this season of The Office India is “going to be full of hilarious surprises”. “I've had a great time working on the show and we couldn't stop laughing during scenes because they were so funny. Enjoyed the experience with the entire team of Applause [Entertainment] and Hotstar. The show is innately Indian and humorously relatable. Bringing alive the essence of any type of Delhiite is always a fun experience and I hope I have managed to add more quirks to this already mad bunch,” she said in a statement.
Set in Faridabad, The Office India is based on the American version of the popular show and stars Mukul Chaddha, Gauahar Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Gopal Datt, Sayandeep Sengupta, Samridhi Dewan, Priyanka Setia and Abhinav Sharma. The show has been directed by Rohan Sippy (Nautanki Saala!) and Vivek Bhushan (Bank Chor) with co-creator Debbie Rao (Better Life Foundation, Pushpavalli).
Season 2 of The Office is currently streaming on Hotstar.
