Lioness Electrocuted in Gujarat, Two Farmers Arrested

The farmers had set up a barbwire fence, illegally drawing electricity to keep away the wild animals.

A lioness was electrocuted to death by an illegally set up barbwire fence around a field in Gujarat’s Amreli district.

Two farmers, Mohammad Kalu and Abdul Ibrahim, set up the fence which illegally drew electricity and they have been duly arrested under the Wildlife Protection Act.
